Leaves of a large tree at maturity in July: glabrous, coriaceous,
dark green, with coarse remote blunt teeth and strongly flattened petioles.
Leaves of big-tooth aspen vary, depending on their position in the
crown. Those on long shoots are ovate, acuminate, truncate to broad-cuneate at
base.
