A beautiful Asiatic shrub that has become infamous in North America as one of the most noxious weeds, Japanese barberry is
rather common in the Blue Hills, especially along roads. Its flowers are dangling under leaves. This branch has been turned
"upside down," so that we see the underside of the leaves.
